Upload quarterly data (like GDP from FRED) to separate its trend and cyclical components.
How to Interpret This Chart
Log-Transform: This tool automatically applies a natural log transform (ln) to your data. This is standard practice for series like GDP that grow exponentially, turning that growth into a linear trend.
Cyclical Component: The cycle is shown as the percentage deviation from the trend (e.g., +2% or -1.5%). A value of 0.02 on the log scale (shown as 2%) means the original series is approximately 2% above its long-term trend.
Chart controls: Use mouse wheel to zoom, click+drag to pan, and Shift+drag to select a zoom area.
